Evans: "Mom, were you alive in 2000?"
Me: "Yep."
- "What came before 2000?"
- "1999"
-"Were you alive then, too?"
- "Yep."
Evans: "Wow."
Me: "Bud, I was born in 1979!"
Katie, interjecting: "But whose tummy were you in?"
"Guess."
Katie: "Kackie's?"
"Yep"
Katie: "Whoa, Kackie was pregnant! And then you grew up, but you're still Kackie's kid, and then you had your own childs."

ReplyDeleteGood stuff! It's so funny to see the look on their faces. My students couldn't believe it when I told them I got my first CD player in the 4th grade. The boom box is in my classroom and they make fun of it all the time. It's near & dear to me heart.
